cyptids
here's my final series of paintings for my watercolor and gouache class that i've been working on for the past several weeks! i decided to paint a couple of critters from some of my particular favorite urban legends--mothman, the jersey devil, and the chupacabra respectively

low poly experiments
i've always been a fan of charmingly simple low-poly 3d styles, so i dug up some old alien characters and thought i'd use them as guinea pigs for a little modeling and texturing exercise--namely, hand-painting them completely, including all the lighting effects. of course, i discovered along the way that it takes a lot of practice to make an intentionally minimalistic style look streamlined and not just...poorly made. but i'm learning...!

sympathy for the devil
another update dry spell whoops!!! i've been working on a series of watercolor and gouache paintings for one of my finals, but i'd like to wait until they're all finished before posting them together, so prepare yourself for some more filler doodles in the meantime (i know how psyched you must be)
the x-files pretty much occupies the top spot in my heart for...almost everything imaginable, so it's no surprise that they've created one of my all time favorite big bads as well (i like to think he was genuinely immortal, got some reaper cybernetic enhancements a century or so later, and started calling himself "the illusive man" for a change of pace...)
